Have you noticed how your life will get your attention?
Your soul, the higher part of you that is still connected to Universal
energy, knows what you want.
It knows all your hearts desires.
The part of you that is here on Earth, living and breathing,
sometimes you can get in the way of these plans.
Even if every cell in your being wants to zig…
you will zag
and feel awful!
That is when your soul, tries to get your attention.
It’s mission is to redirect you back to your desired path.
It will start with a whisper.
Thoughts or conversations that gently uncover
your true feelings, and sometimes,
that is all that is needed to set you straight.
Sometimes you get so far off the path,
that the tug on your sleeve gets even more urgent.
A job change, or move of location, even the end of
a relationship.
Those events can take you and actually turn you around,
back in the direction of your hearts desire,
IF you are able to stay out of anger and resistance.
But, if you fail to get introspective, to stop and listen
to your inner most voice,
That is when it may turn to a scream.
Something that REALLY gets your attention!
You get fired
You get very ill,
Your house burns down,
You get the picture.
The scream is so loud and so life altering,
that you have no choice but to stop moving and just listen.
Take stock of where you are and what you REALLY want.
That was the job you gave to your higher self that stayed behind.
“When I loose my way, get my attention, and set me back on my path”
So now that that is clear,
which will it be?
A whisper?
or a scream?
You have embarked on a sort of
spiritual scavenger hunt.
That is the fun way you can look at it!
You came here with a list of attributes,
experiences and “Ah ha’s” ,
each of which came with different people you had to meet,
and places you had to be at along the way.
You have a limited amount of time (your lifetime)
You have the desire
and you have the list in your head.
You really do!
It is actually encoded in your soul,
but you can remember it if you are quiet
and listen.
Sometimes you will just know you are on the right
track to an item on your list.
You can FEEL it!
Everything lines up perfectly,
you are in the right place at the right time,
the right people show up, as if by magic,
and you get those butterflies of excitement
in your stomach as an affirmation.
Just like in any scavenger hunt,
you ask for help, directions, and clues
along the way.
You would never take your list and try to go it alone!
You would never ignore the clues and disregard
the directions!
It’s supposed to be a challenge,
finding all these clues and having all these experiences.
But it is a game,
and it can be so much fun… if you let it.
Lighten up about it!
Treat it like that child’s game,
that scavenger hunt, filled with intrigue
and excitement and a sense of wonder.
What “Ah Ha ” lies ahead of you today?
Who will cross your path that has a clue?
Will you engage? or will you try to go it alone?
Take their hand and run like children
toward the next surprise!
This game is always better played with friends!
We know this is a sensitive subject.
Mostly coming from the Mis interpretation
of the original intent.
Each culture has a prophet or enlightened one,
who through their writings or the accounts of others,
imparted wisdom, in ways the people of that time
could understand.
We guarantee you that at the time, it was laced with love.
It is that component that has all but disappeared.
Along the way, through this ancient game of “telephone”
it has been filtered through the lens of judgement
and tweaked according to will and whim
of who it could serve at the time,
and is now almost un recognizable.
LOVE and COMPASSION
was always the foundation of the world’s religions
at the start.
Once men realized they could control the masses
through clever editing with a change of a word here and there,
that’s where the train went off the tracks so to speak.
It is naive to think that every word of the Bible or Koran
or all the other sacred documents have remained intact.
Through many translations in the energy of each time,
things were changed, left out, or completely mis interpreted.
Then the energy of each generation took what they read to
mean what was important to the things happening around them,
at that time.
You now have whole systems set up that promote and condone
separatism,
judgement,
and hate of anything that is “different”.
Do you really think that is why these religions came into being?
Men can do all these things on their own, without the structure
of a religious system behind them.
Wouldn’t it make more sense that these prophets would ask you to elevate
your energy and practice
understanding,
compassion,
peace and
love?
There are many beautiful aspects in your religions.
Use your discernment for what feels right to you,
and appropriate for the energy of now.
Return it to wisdom written with LOVE and COMPASSION
and make THAT your practice.
Roots And Wings
Hmmmmm…
Think about that
Is that even possible?
To have roots and wings?
We give you the example of seeds.
They start their life as a part of something bigger than
themselves.
At a certain point, when the conditions are right,
with the assistance of the wind, they take flight.
Inside even the tiniest seed has the blueprint for life.
They come imprinted with the knowledge to lay down roots and grow,
All they have to do is find fertile ground.
The wind appears to be their enemy and their ally,
It uproots them and takes them far and wide,
setting them down sometimes in the most unlikely of spots.
But the seeds are compliant.
They try to stand where they are.
They attempt again to set down roots.
Sometimes they are successful,
and sometimes the wind, that darn wind,
if the roots are still shallow,
will pick them up and deposit them elsewhere.
Somewhere better.
There is no judgement on the part of the seed,
they don’t say “darn wind” we do.
They know that they will end up at the end of every flight,
establishing roots.
For however long they stand in that spot.
Their stay may be short as a tiny weed.
Or establish the deep roots of a giant oak.
So you see it is possible to have roots AND wings,
and to use these winds of change to your advantage.
Free of the fear of change,
establishing roots wherever you’re deposited by life…
until your next flight.
Temptation
temp·ta·tion
/tempˈtāSHən/
Noun
A desire to do something, esp. something wrong or unwise: “he resisted the temptation to call Celia”; “we gave in to temptation”.
A thing or course of action that attracts or tempts someone: “the temptations of life in New York”.
Synonyms
seduction – enticement – allurement – lure – bait
Like most human feelings, temptation can have a bad rap.
There is a kernel, a nugget of temptation in every desire
at the very beginning.
The lure of something unknown, the desire for something other than
what is in front of you, ohhhhh tempting……
Then the judgement comes in.
It started with the temptation of Adam and Eve.
That is where it got its bad reputation.
They were tempted by the apple, something new and unknown,
and gave up everything good in their lives,
that’s quite a message!
You use the word temptation for wanting that second cupcake,
for desiring your friends husband,
for the thoughts of quitting your job and moving to Italy.
But if you removed the judgement,
temptation is still giving you information, feedback,
on your wants,
on your deepest desires,
taking your temperature on where you stand.
And THAT is what life is all about!
Seeing something that you want, and realizing what
needs to change in order to move in that direction.
Now your intellect and wisdom and character
will also give you feedback on how to proceed.
There really is not a black and white,
clear cut , right or wrong way to go.
A second cupcake won’t hurt anyone.
It is probably not a good idea to go after your friends husband,
but with that feedback, that temptation,
you realize you are not satisfied with your own
romantic situation.
As far as quitting and moving to Italy…
Some of the most amazing, messy, life altering,
crazy great, transformational experiences
have started with the phrase:
” You know…I’ m really tempted to just…
